THE MELTING SPOT COMPANY

In 1994, choreographer Farid Berki created a dance collective called“La Compagnie Melting Spot”.

This choreography is a confrontation of completely different artistic universes.

According to the choreographer, it is possible to establish links and cross-fertilize different dance currents.

A self-taught street dancer, Farid Berki is trained in a variety of dance techniques (classical, jazz, contemporary, tap and African).

We were lucky enough to be able to welcome them for a residency at Arcachon’s Olympia Theater during the month of April 2021.

JÉREMY FRÉROT

As part of a unique digital tour, and in support of the music and cultural scene during this period of global pandemic, singer Jeremy frerot took to the stage at Arcachon’s Théatre Olympia in April 2021.

The former member of the famous Fréro Delavega group came to present his latest album, Meilleure vie. An album with lively notes and touching lyrics.

It was a return to the stage that put a smile on the faces of musicians, technicians and viewers alike.

LA COMPAGNIE FABRE SENOU

With the support ofIddac Gironde, Compagnie Fabre Senou, with its show “Doyen même pas peur d’avoir encore de l’espoir”, was in residence at Théâtre Olympia in April.

Founded in 1995 by Norbert Sènou, an artist of Beninese origin, the company has been based at L’Alternative, Centre de Danses in Bordeaux, since 1998, a venue for creation, training and exchange.

The company’s artistic approach is based on choreographic research, highlighting states of the body in the service of contemporary live performance creation.

In their creations, Caroline Fabre and Norbert Sènou play with the intermingling of white and black bodies in movement, as well as with a subtle, lively dialogue between dance, music and voice.

COMPAGNIE RÊVOLUTION

In 1991, the foundations were laid for Compagnie Rêvolution Dance, initially conceived as a collective of young artists. By animating this space for meeting and sharing, where the influences of each intersect and mutually nourish each other, the young artists claim a decompartmentalization of the choreographic field.

Over the years, their artistic identities travelled, grew richer and more distinctive, and their artistic convergences naturally diminished. In 2001, the collective became a company, bearing Anthony Egéa’s signature alone. The following year, the company opened the doors of the first professional training course for hip hop performers in France.
