Description
I have been a guide in Arcachon since 1998 but I also practised this profession in Périgueux where I obtained my "guide-conférencière des villes d'art et d'histoire" card in 2001. As an art historian, I have taught architectural history in a training course for future national guides at the IUT of Périgueux. After several years of specialized studies in the art of the Middle Ages, I finally chose the contemporary period for my thesis, the subject of which is: Seaside architecture in Arcachon from neo-classicism to the beginnings of Art Nouveau. I write articles and have collaborated in the writing of a guidebook on the Pereire-Abatilles district and in the elaboration of exhibitions on the autumn city and the Pereire-Abatilles district.
Guiding is for me the opportunity to pass on this knowledge to highlight our rich heritage.
