With "La Prodigieuse Histoire de l?Opéra-Comique", Léo Cohen-Paperman and Emilien Diard-Detoeuf invite us on a theatrical and musical journey to the heart of the birth of comic opera the birth of comic opera. Performed by the Opéra-Comique?s young troupe of academicians, the show mixes comedies, ariettes and vaudevilles in a festive spirit, celebrating a popular and complicit theater. Léo Cohen-Paperman defends ambitious theater. Co-founder of the Nouveau Théâtre Populaire, he promotes a craft-based, collective art form in which the quest for the sublime is confronted with human realities, in a free, lively form.
